Newcastle Outriggers would like to acknowledge the following grant funding:
2024/25 – City of Newcastle Infrastructure (Recreation Facilities) – $6,525 grant for 50% of the total cost of 9 x OC6 canoe covers.
2025 – One Rail Australia Community Support Program (CSP) -$4,350 towards meeting the cost of the 9 x OC6 canoe covers.
2025 City of Newcastle Event Sponsorship Program – $2,500 sponsorship toward promotion of the Pasha Dasha Regatta 2026.
2023 Newcastle Port Community Contribution Fund – $81,578 for the purchase of 2 new OC6 canoes and an OC2 canoe. These new canoes will be used to provide access to outrigging for diverse groups.
2020 NSW Community Sport Grant – $4,500 for the container fit out at our Carrington base
2019 Recreation Facilities Grant Program – $2,500 – designed to provide grants to not for profit sporting, recreation and community groups to promote a vibrant and activate public place, a caring and inclusive community in a livable and distinctive built environment.
2018 Community Building Partnership – $23,865 – purchase of a lightweight canoe to allow the older and younger members of our community to benefit from outrigging.
