In November 2023 the NOCC masters women’s team qualified at the AOCRA sprint nationals to race at the Hilo, Hawaii IVF Va’a World Sprint Championships in the 500 metre OC6 sprint.
One of the members, Christina Smith, additionally earned the honour of representing Australia in the 500 metre V1 sprint – women’s masters 40.
Our club participated in the 17th edition of the Vaka Eiva, competing against paddlers from New Zealand, throughout Australia, Hawaii, Tahiti, & the USA. Racing took place in challenging conditions and included a 30km race around Rarotonga.
