Mattara Parade Report

Thank you to members who were able to participate in the parade and big John helping to load the craft at the start. There were competing events which made it challenging to get the necessary number of helpers but we made it and all went well….received some great comments from AOCRA on receipt of the photographs.


The weather wasn’t much help (at least it did not rain), no doubt causing the crowds to be a bit down. This did not stop our “float” looking great and was a good presentation as our first attempt at such a means of promotion.


Turning a canoe trailer and car into a mobile display was challenging but we were able to make it work. With an OC2 on the tow car and a OC6 on the trailer fully rigged we would have liked to have a OC1 somehow as well but need a bit more planning for next time.
